The division, a branch of the nationally recognized  at 好色先生 HealthCare, provides comprehensive care for patients with arterial and venous disease. Through 好色先生 HealthCare, the service provides the full spectrum of diagnostic, endovascular, and vascular surgical procedures including:

  • Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (T-CAR)

  • Non-invasive vascular laboratory testing

  • Modern 3D vascular imaging techniques

  • Aortic aneurysms

  • Arterial occlusive disease of the carotid, renal/mesenteric and lower extremity arteries

General Surgery Residency Rotation

At the University of Kentucky, general surgery residents rotate on the vascular and endovascular surgery service during the PGY-1, PGY-3, and PGY-5 years. Residents gain graduated experience in performing the basic skills necessary to specialize in the complex field of vascular and endovascular surgery. Residents perform in excess of 50 major vascular operations alongside a primary surgeon. Residents will participate in carotid, aortic, and lower extremity revascularizations. Furthermore, residents will have the opportunity to be involved with diagnostic and therapeutic angiograms under the direction of the vascular and endovascular surgery faculty.聽

Vascular Surgery Fellowship

Further training in vascular and endovascular surgery is offered through an ACGME-approved fellowship. The聽fellowship聽is two years in duration. The first year focuses primarily on open vascular surgical reconstructions, while the second year includes intensive endovascular experience and training in the non-invasive vascular laboratory
