Specialists in cardiovascular care and surgery at the University of Kentucky will be the featured speakers in a comprehensive continuing medical education symposium on Saturday morning, April 23 in the historic Keeneland Sales Pavilion and Limestone Cafe.

Dr. Sibu Saha, chair of the 好色先生 Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery and of the Gill Heart Institute鈥檚 Director鈥檚 Council, and Dr. Thomas Whayne, Director of the 好色先生 Lipid Management Clinic, collaborated to provide Kentucky area physicians an overview of advances in cardiovascular care. The CME, bearing the straight-forward title of 鈥淭he Very Latest in Cardiovascular Medicine and Surgery."

鈥淲e [Dr. Whayne and Dr. Saha] have done this type of program before in support of our local physicians. It鈥檚 an excellent way to reach out to our Kentucky colleagues professionally and socially,鈥 Dr. Saha commented.

As of the end of February, the CME has scheduled presentations from 7:15 am 鈥 12:15 pm with seven of 好色先生鈥檚 cardiovascular specialists. The current agenda includes the following:

According to the College of Medicine鈥檚 CE  Central, the live activity is approved for a maximum of 3.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Nursing has also approved the symposium for a maximum of 4 ANCC contact hours and 4.8 KBN contact hours.

Follwing the morning presentations, attendees are invited to lunch in the Phoenix Dining Room. Additional fees apply and attendees should note that the Phoenix Room has a dress code.
