Derek Allison, MD, has been selected as director of the Molecular Tumor Board effective July 15, 2024. This is a statewide tumor board with around 30 case submissions per week, of which only 8 are chosen to be reviewed every other week. This position will allow Dr. Allison to conduct more significant QA reviews for in-house cases. Excellent work Dr. Allison!
Dr. Derek Allison and Justin Rueckert, DO, are senior author and co-author, respectively, on an abstract that has been accepted for the CAP 24 meeting in Las Vegas, NV October 19-22, 2024. Their project is titled 鈥淚nvestigation of NRG1 Fusions and Concurrent Molecular Alterations in Solid Tumors鈥 and is a collaboration with Heather Short (first author), a third-year medical student with a strong interest in pathology, alongside Eric Rellinger, MD, in pediatric surgery.
