Dr. Shyanika Rose, CHET primary faculty member and researcher in the 好色先生 College of Medicine and Markey Cancer Center, served as an expert panelist at the 2025 Kentucky Tobacco Control Conference on April 3 at The Campbell House in Lexington. The event, themed Energizing Communities and Empowering Advocates, gathered public health leaders from across the state. Dr. Rose joined Shannon Baker (American Lung Association) and Saumya Sikhwal (#iCANendthetrend) to discuss strategies for reducing youth access to tobacco and nicotine products, emphasizing the importance of retail regulation in creating healthier, tobacco-free communities.
