Leanna Brignola has had a very busy month! On GME Professional鈥檚 Day (August 15), she was nominated for two awards, the 鈥淩ising Star鈥 and the 鈥淒istinguished Program Administrators鈥 by GME leadership. Shortly after, she successfully passed her Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) certification! This is a professional credential awarded to individuals who demonstrate advanced knowledge and competency in the administration of residency and fellowship programs within GME. And finally, Leanna is getting married on September 21! Congratulations on all of these, Leanna!
Cody Bumgardner, PhD, has also been very busy! He has been invited by the CAP to be a panelist discussing 鈥淕eneral AI Use in Non-billing Purposes鈥 on September 23, 2025 at 2:00pm ET. The link to register for the conference is ; In addition, Dr. Bumgardner has been invited by the Association for Pathology Informatics to present 鈥淭he Role of Foundation Models, Generative AK/LLMs, and Agentic AI in Pathology鈥 on November 6, 2025 at their 鈥淒P-AI 9.0鈥 meeting in Chicago, IL. Lastly, Dr. Bumgardner is a PI on a newly funded grant by the National Science Foundation titled 鈥淒emocratizing AI Training and Access Statewide (Collaborative Research)鈥.
