Jonnisa is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (BA in Psychology and Medicine, Health & Society) and University of Kentucky College of Public Health (MPH in Health Behavior).

Jonnisa enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering, music (singing, listening, playing, and writing), and being a lifelong learner.

Jonnisa is a Research Protocol Assistant for the Gynecologic Oncology Division where she assists with the adherence to protocol of multiple studies to ensure proper data collection and submission and tracking of both on-treatment and follow-up participants. Her research interests include Maternal & Child Health, Health Disparities and Inequities, Health Literacy, and Prevention and Intervention Programs. She is a member of KPHA and her goal is to promote economically, emotionally, physically, psychologically, and socially sound lifestyles through research, education, and health prevention and promotion programs.  Her research has been published in Journal of Child and Family Studies.
